The article reveals theoretical approaches to the study of the skills and abilities of a modern manager. The concept of "manager" is defined as a leader who professionally performs the functions of managing an organization. The article notes the increasing demands from society for the profession of a manager, his educational level, professional training, general culture, creativity and innovation. An integrated approach is used, which provides an opportunity for an innovative look at the development of the skills and abilities of a modern manager.
