Abstract

The morphological structure of the Arabic verb has an effect on its transitivity or intransitivity. This study aims to explore this effect by examining the methods by which modern linguists have analyzed the means by which an intransitive verb can be transformed into its transitive counterpart. Some modern linguists agree with the traditional methods, while others add or reject some of the traditional methods.
