The Role of The Teacher in The Society 5.0 Era in Establishment Characteristics of Students of SD Negeri 28 Manado

Abstract

Every school is important to implement character education. This is because good character is closely related to student success in learning at school. Character building is one of the goals of national education that really needs to be considered by every educational institution. In character education, teachers play an important role in educating students' character. teachers have an important task in teaching science and instilling moral values and noble character in students. Therefore the researcher intends to examine the role of the teacher in the formation of student character. This study aims to determine the teacher's role in the formation of student character in the implementation of learning

This study uses qualitative research and a phenomenological approach. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. Checking the validity of the data using source, method and time triangulation. Data analysis uses interactive analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman.

The research that has been done found that the teacher's role in character education can be seen from three aspects, namely the teacher as an educator, the teacher as a teacher, the teacher as a demonstrator. where from the results of observations it was found that there was a lack of good behavior by students of SD Negeri 28 Manado. Collaboration between teachers and parents is needed to supervise students in getting along in the community, in the school environment and supervision in using gadgets.
